It's not longer on Nintendo's website and according to VGC sales, its been very weak. Any thoughts?

DS/DSLite, yes. DSi/DSi XL...almost discontinued. They're still selling those.
The post above was certified to be simply smashing by the Wii U Forum Staff.

Pokemon is on the 3DS now.
So yes, it's been axed. It will continue to exist for the sake of giving poor devs something to work with cheaply. Expect it to die in the next 2 years.
Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

It might be but the new Lego Marvel Super Heroes will be released on it for $20.
That's not really relevant in the context of this thread considering how many of the various DS models there are still out there. FIFA 14 is being released on the PS2 which in affect is in the same position as the DS. The reason why FIFA is being released is because there is still a big PS2 market out there to sell to.

I know, I realized that as soon as a finished with thepost. I completely forgot about Fifa 14 and the PS2. For my sake, at least the game was built from scratch as supposed to it just being a older game with a new number (I'm not sure if that's actually true for the Lego one).

I don't think I've noticed any stores around me selling DSis or DSi XLs lately. Some stores seem to be cutting their stock on DS games. My GameStop has moved all their DS games to a small rack. So yeah, the DS is pretty much discontinued, and there's really not that much support for it. It might end up like the PS2 where there's like one game released for it per year for a few years.
