I just recently heard some news about Capcom declaring that they don't have enough money to make a port of SF4 to the next gen consoles. Considering that Nintendo just "rescued" the Bayonetta franchise (which I'm really happy about) Wouldn't it be a good idea if Nintendo rescued that franchise as well to make it an exclusive?

You may argue that this particular game has been played to death and there's no point in porting it any more, you're probably right. But then Nintendo could sponsor the next iteration in the franchise to make it an exclusive, just the way it happened with Bayonetta.

I have to admit that this is probably a bad idea, but I want to hear your opinions anyway.

Cheers.

Or they could focus on making a new Street Fighter game instead of porting the old one to every console known to man.

Time for sf5.

4's been out for a while and capcom has already done their multiple takes on it.

Hopefully the art style changes too.

With the three next gen consoles, we can see a great looking game with characters that actually look just like the cartoon movie.

Nintendo could buy Capcom if they wanted. I can definitely see them using Monster Hunter and Megaman.

And you pretty much heard it WRONG; Ono was referring to his TEAM, and MANPOWER, not money. It's not that bad of a situation as resources are always finite

They're still going to port it.  The milking of SFIV is not even close to being over yet.
