Can't help but feel sensationalised information when I hear about people cancelling pre-orders for the Xbox One simply because 500GB isn't big enough.

Uh...it still supports internal hard drives. So I'm not sure where the problem with storage is at.

 

Plus, the PS4 comes with 500GB straight out of the box. I've been subscribed to PS+ for over a year now, bought/installed a ton of games, and I've still got over half the hard drive left.

 

Also, not once have I ever used my Playstation to listen to an MP3 or CD.

 

This is honestly a smaller problem than a ton of people are making it out to be.

I only play hard copies and got a mp3 player or phone for music.

Playstation Plus does have some really great download deals though.

 

Whether or not we'd see those kinds of deals on Playstation 4 is a different matter.

This isn't a big deal for me. I'll just put a bigger HDD in my PS4. As far as MP3 goes, I never use my consoles for music.

None of this crap effects me in the slightest lol, Either way im getting both x box one and PS4. But these little minor features make no difference to me. Its a games machine, As long as both play games i dont care about anything else.

To be honest I prefer the PS4 just because it is not overhyped for being "more" than a gaming console. I mean - aren't the PS4, the Xbox One and the Wii U JUST gaming consoles? So why bothering why it wouldn't play any kind of media? For that reason I have a PC connected to the TV, or a Blu-Ray player or whatever. If I buy a PS4, Wii U or a Xbox One, I buy it because of the games. Being able to play Blu-Rays or using streaming services is in my opinion a nice-to-have, but no necessary reason to buy it.

But I guess that several people that have pre-ordered the PS4 might now get pissed and switch to the Xbox One. Just because it's "more" than a gaming console - a media center.

Sometimes price is a factor when having these boxes do the jobs of multiple boxes.  For example, I am not getting either a PS4 or Xbox One (at least not for a good while), and the Wii U can't even play DVD's, much less Blu Rays, so I have to spend more money if I want to be able to watch movies on disc media.  

 

Thankfully, Wii U does have Netflix, and my wife and I don't really buy/rent movies on disc, so it's not that big of a deal for us.  And since the Wii U is only $300, we could buy a DVD player or even a cheaper Blu Ray player and still spend less than it would have cost to buy a PSBone.

I love the Xbox brand, the 360 was one of my favorite consoles of all time, and I plan to get an Xbox One. My title is simply poking fun at the fact that liking anything Xbox related is considered a sin on here (and most places on the Internet). All you hear is negativity, and anyone who is positive is automatically labeled a fanboy. I don't go around bashing other consoles, though. Takes too much effort. I don't care for the PS4, but I don't attack it whenever I can. None of these companies are paying my bills or doing anything for me. I ain't a white knight.
