I've been looking into this and although the info seems different on different websites Ead tokyo 1 developed "Super Mario Galaxy" with Takao Shimizu as the producer.
But after that all he's worked on was a weird japanese game and and overseeing projects that outsourced studios developed.
He doesn't seem to be working on 3d world as that's Ead tokyo studio 2 so what are he and his team up to?
Also Ead tokyo 2 worked on galaxy 2, so Ead tokyo 1 didn't even work on that
But I can't find any news on the guy after 2011, in the past he always produced or directed the big projects so just what is he up to?
Just looked up the Ead tokyo studio 1 in 2010 they work on "jibun de tsukuru nintendo ds guide" for dsiware in 2010
then they oversaw some zelda remakes in 2011 and worked on wii u panorama view and some augmented reality for 3ds in 2013.
Now am I expected to believe that the person who was assistant director on super mario sunshine, producer of donkey kong jungle beat and the producer of super mario galaxy along with the team who made jungle beat and galaxy are just sitting around making these "apps" for wii u and 3ds?
People wanted that epic 3d mario in hd and I'm thinking this guy and his team might just have that hidden away.
Studio 2 work on 3d world, studio 1 work on an epic 3d mario game, I like the sound of that.
Of course this being ninty it is more likely this team was just used to make apps for the wii u and 3ds but hopefully something like a galaxy 3 will happen.
