This may or may not be a distraction to you.... however it's worth a shot.
In Wii Sports Club, there is a live TV screen above the bowling lanes during the match which shows your mii and the others waiting to bowl. As your competitor prepares their shot, shake (move) your Wii Mote around and your Mii will move up and down, spin etc on the TV screen.
This probably won't mess the majority of people up, but you never know.
