Looks like Walmart will be selling the 2DS for $99 bucks. Might pick this up just because!

Those PS3 and XB360 deals are pretty good. If times were different they would really hurt XB1 and PS4.
They also have some Wii U deal for 329$. Think it includes NintendoLand and a Wii remote. with the Mario bundle.

I'm interested in the Swap Force starter pack for $38.96. I'm considering getting the 3DS version with that deal. Since I already have the console version.

I think I'd rather just pay the extra whatever than deal with Black Friday madness...... went last year looking for a TV and that was a nightmare.

I agree. Although nowadays, you can find super great deals online on black friday, and of course cyber monday. I'll be shopping online, in the comfort of my own home drinking coffee and petting my cats as I spend money lol.

That'd be one major waste of $99, unless you don't have a 3DS.

Trust me, the deals on the PS3 and 360 are going to hurt the new consoles. It always happens that way. Once they hype and day one buyers are out of the equation, these two systems will have to compete with their MUCH cheaper counterparts with MUCH larger libraries.

I know, i know. It will hurt them, but given all the hype during this period, they will sell out without a problem.
After the holidays things will be different.

Hype among gamers on gaming sites doesn't mean much to the average consumer. Consoles are high ticket items that take a good chunk of change that most people don't have, especially for what these consoles offer at launch. Yeah, you have those people who will stand outside just to be one of the first people to have new tech because they just have to have the newest and the shiniest thing but those people are generally a minority.
Think about the kind of money you spend on a new console when all is said and done.
You have:
-The console $400-$500
- A second controller for $50 (If you ever want to have any local multiplayer which most people want at least 2 controllers)
-2-3 new games at $50-$60 each.
-If you want to play online then you're going to have to buy a subscription on both of these systems now so that's another $40-$60 for one year.
When all is said and done a brand new launch console becomes a solid $600-$700 purchase. That's a lot of money for most people to spend on gaming in one lump sum. It's also why I think these consoles are going to start off slow. Yeah you're 'core' gamers are willing to put that kind of money down but most people are going to be bargain hunters waiting for the right bundle/price drop to get in to the system. Plus by the time that happens most if not all of the launch games will have had their prices cut in half at least.

It`s not that you are right - and i do agree that internet hype is a whole different story -, it`s really hard to not be sold out at launch.
Even if PS3 and XB360 were at 99$, PS4 and XB1 would still sell out because both brands have enough appeal to sell out until end of the year, at least.
Internet hype might not correspond to actual sales, but we can`t deny that MS and Sony fans are really hyped about their consoles.
To be honest, i`m beginning to think that they will sell out with huge numbers, but i think both of them will be really frontloaded. Wouldn`t be surprised seeing PS4 doing Xb360`s first year`s numbers next year.
