So I've been saving up money for a trip the past several months, but now it turns out I won't be going and therefore have a decent bit of money. I bought a WiiU when the Wind Waker bundle came out and that is the first game I've ever had that made me think 'damn I want an HD tv now. So I'm planning to do some cyber monday shopping around for a decent one but I'm not a TV expert so I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips. Any brands I should steer clear of? Any sites I should keep my eye on besides newegg and Amazon? 

 

Also if it helps, I'm basically looking for a 22-24 inch with 1080p. Other than that I'm good.

The reviews don't mention it not having a stand, so it should. not having a stand is like a car not having tires. it's possible but not really done.

 

One thing to note is that the reviews say the tv as a poor upscaler, but if you're just using the Wii U it shouldn't be a problem becase the U will upscale everything to 1080p on it's own.

the only thing i care about whenever i buy a new tv, is if the tv has alot of input lag or not. It's uselly only a problem if you buy a 50 inch+ tv.

Well today I found a 22 inch 1080p from bestbuy for $150. Seemed decent. One question, the dude was telling me that on smaller tvs like this one that you can't really tell the difference between 720p and 1080p. Any one agree/disagree?

The smaller the TV, the closer you have to be to spot the difference. I don't know what the distance is for a 22", but better safe than sorry.
