Well this sucks, and it's a shame it's taken so long to get a proper clear answer. But Patrick Liu of DICE has said in an interview that "there is nothing planned to be honest", meaning DICE is working on nothing for the Wii U (and specifically, no Battlefield 3), although they do have dev kits. However, Liu says he is "a big fan of Nintendo" and if they were to bring the game to the system, he'd want to:
...come up with something that really uses their controls. And until we get that bright idea of what to do with the new controls I don't think there's any point in making another version that's just the same as everyone else.
All we can do is hope, I guess.
