Im guessing those are ports for the cable to make the gamepad wired.
Pretty cool.
The green one would rock for a Luigi bundle system. But i know nintendo will miss out on it.

Now make a version where the whole thing is green not just the faceplate then sell it and I will buy it.

Looks like you are able to easily get a dev kit without paying for the first year and you can return it in 6 months if you are not happy. You just have to sign up to be a Wii U developer.

I feel bad for them since you can't play retail games on a devkit/debug unit
