So if a smaller developer decided to continue a dead franchise or remake one or more games of said franchise, what do you guys think should be worked with? I'm not sure if Wayforward is considered a small dev nowadays from what I've seen, but what would you want devs similar to them do in terms of continuation/Remakes?
If a Smaller Developer Revived A Game, What Should It Be?

I'd like to see what any dev could do with Jet Set Radio, Shenmue, Star Fox, F-Zero, Skies of Arcadia etc...
I can't really think of any game that I'd like to see a small studio work on, just franchises I'd like to see revived. Perhaps wayforward could make a Streets of rage?

THIS! YES! PLEASE!
And bring it to Wii U for the touch controls. My life would be complete. With better graphics, too, I think 3 came out too soon, before the graphics were good enough to display the kind of detail they wanted.

I could see them doing a Streets of Rage and a few other titles. I want a lot more old school beat-em-ups. I wish they'd also make a new Metal Slug, or maybe even a new Klonoa, or remakes of the console/handheld games, though I could see them having a higher chance of making HD remakes of the handheld titles. To be honest, Mighty Switch Force vaguely reminds me of those, what with the puzzle solving and collecting.

I would actually like to see Locomotion revived.
Got this game for like $6 at a flea market in florida ages ago when I was a kid, loved it. Not sure if there's anything else like it out there, was rather fun.
The post above was certified to be simply smashing by the Wii U Forum Staff.

Even tho I put down my 80$ for Mighty No 9 I would like to see Wayforward take on Mega Man
Shin'en givin a larger budget and if needed some manpower from Nintendo to turn Fast Racing Neo into F-Zero
I'd like to see Nuchallenger make Streets of Rage
Vanillaware to take on Golden Axe

Wayforward remake of Super Mario World with remastered tracks and their signature hand drawn graphics, do it.

I always liked Banjo Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day and games made by Rare, good times.
