Just saw this.

http://mynintendonew...miiverse-rules/

I mean seriously, dont they know anything? Why not just take online play away.

I dont use my Wii U anymore other than for Netflix, but those rules are just stupid, they dont know anything about online gaming, it is just stupid, no wonder why people call it a console for kids.

For starters, don't circumvent the swear filter.

For the topic at hand: We wouldn't have this problem if people would've kept it in their pants and quit sending pictures of genitals and child pornography anywhere.

This is more aim at little kids that end up making friends with some 50 year old pervert.

So it's what they gotta do to stop that.

Even tho all other systems don't care because online is unrated just like the internet.

Um...those rules are just telling kids not to post their friend codes.  I didn't see them saying that everyone else couldn't.  Am I missing something here?

Ofc they mean everyone.

I just find it stupid that you cannot become friend with some random stranger you been enjoying a game with, so you can play together at  another time.

When i was younger, i had a few game buddies that i had not meet in real life. And iknow am not the only one. Clans etc.

I would like to point out again.. parental controls.  Why doesn't the 3DS system flag up the parental controls when attempting to access friend codes?

Miiverse already forces you to set up parental controls for under age people when creating NNID on 3DS.

I'll just stick to non miiverse boards to have fun with other people on animal crossing and friend safari for pokemon.

Because Nintendo is slow. I've been asking for parental control to disable deleting games and volume lock. But they don't do that.

This has been a rule on Miiverse since day 1 of launch, this is just a clarification for Children just accessing Miiverse now, from the 3DS.
You can not share steam id's, psn id's, phone numbers, anything that would allow outside contact between you and another via miiverse.

Isn't this image on Nintendo's website false advertising for MiiVerse on the 3DS?

I see an email or message icon (envelope)

But you don't play games with strangers on miiverse, you just talk about games.

Exactly. The rules are for kids, nobody else.

The only person that is upset is the OP, an obvious child.

uh, this is completely valid; it's always recommended that you don't post personal info online due to how easily abused it can be. This is just common sense.
