The ones in the levels, they run around and stuff. Are they computer controlled? Are they someone's real Mii? Does the computer just do that randomly? Can you make your Mii run around in the levels? What is that all about? They seem to help you out sometimes. How do I do that?

It's Nintendo's cloud ghost idea that microsoft thought was super-awesome enough to talk about when revealing their console.
Nintendo did it quietly, and to absolutely no fan-fare.

They are Ghost Mii data from other people of the internet.
It's Nintendo's cloud ghost idea that microsoft thought was super-awesome enough to talk about when revealing their console.

so, that was once the moves someone else did?
but they also seem to help you out at the right time...it seems it would need to be more than just old data...it needs to interact with what you are doing?
