I'm not sure if it's a region thing and others do have cool stuff, but here in the Netherlands there's basically nothing besides some virtual console games, and a couple of indie's. I want new games, not old ones. I get why people like vc but it's just not for me.
Nothing interesting in the eShop

Yeah I have £10 free credit to spend but nothing to buy. Already bought the good indie games and the few interesting VC titles.
However, there is a trailer on the eshop for upcoming games and some look interesting so I guess we'll just have to wait.
The Virtual Console is painfully bad right now.

Welllll it does have Link to the Past and Super Mario Land, so it's not quite painful.... just disappointing.

Hey, I'm from the Netherlands too.
eShop content is extremely boring aside for virtual console stuff. The best thing about the eShop is discounts to digital versions of games and demo's... there are barely any good exclusive games. Trine 2 looks good though, played the demo.

Nano Assault Neo? Toki Tori 2? Mighty Switch Force HD? Gianna Sisters? Trine 2? Breath of Fire 2? Earthbound? Uncharted Waters? FInal Fight? Mystical Ninja?
None of those?

- Starwars pinball
- Tokitori2
- unepic
- castlestorm
Apart from digital titles as W101, Pikmin3 and the likes, oh wait. None as original as those two

Ok, I just watched the video's of Unepic and Toki Tori 2 and those do look good (Only looked at the pictures before). I will likely get these soon, but other than that there just isn't much and I already own the Trine series on PS3. Thanks for the recommendations though.

What about NES Remix I'm still on that, I got RUSH which as a nice little puzzle game. Playing Super Metroid and SMB2 from the VC and on my wish list I got Dr. Luigi and Deus Ex Human Revolution DC. Besides them The Cave seemed interesting and Ducktales just looks fun. For the rest I agree with everything said before.
Btw. I'm quite surprised by the dutch on here, kinda thought I was alone.

In my opinion the best game on the EShop is Trine 2. It's a must have and is much better than a lot of the "real" games I've played. Also it has the best graphics to date for any game on Wii U. Check out some of the beach levels, the graphics are absolutely stunning. The use of color in the game is mind-bogglingly beautiful. I put it even above Donkey Kong TF in graphics. Goes on sale all the time, grab it.
Also the Cave looks great, I've played the demo some.
As far as non-VC games, that's all I can recommend. I agree that the EShop as a whole is pretty bad but there are some gems there you just have to try them out.
