I was thinking about something Iwata mentioned when they finally brought Earthbound to the west. Specifically he mentioned the feedback from miiverse with all of the people asking for the game here in the west. Now, we may never know how much of a factor that actually made, but we do know that it at least contributed to things.

 

With the recent talk about Bayonetta and the obvious interest in the first game, I thought it'd be smart if those interested would voice their desire for the game on Miiverse, more specifically the Wonderful 101 miiverse since so far that's the only one that's related to Platinum games.

MiiVersers beat you to this a few months back. I think it was around December? They filled up the W101 community and others with messages saying please give us Bayonetta . This was on neogaf and many users were creating threads of miiverse posts so you could go in and make sure you "Yeah'd" the post.
