A shame this project is cancelled. It was in development for WiiU but when Disney took over it cancelled all projects and gave EA all go's

badly translated:

Disney bought in 2013, Lucas Arts and decided to all Star Wars games by EA to make , but that deal was Lucas Arts and Nintendo had other plans .

Game Informer has received images of a Star Wars project that Nintendo was temporary exclusive platforms in development. After the release of Star Wars : The Force Unleashed II Nintendo and Lucas Arts discussed the possibility for the Wii U, to launch a new game exclusive Nintendo 3DS and Wii . Game Informer writes that the outcome of consultations between Nintendo and Lucas Arts game was a Sith Lord Darth Maul .

Red Fly Studios began working on prototype in 2010 . , The project changed shortly thereafter in a multiplatform release for the Wii , Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 , because Nintendo did not want to pay . Development Why Nintendo decided to terminate funding for the project is not known .

Red Fly originally had the idea to illuminate the background. Darth Maul in the game They worked on various gameplay ideas , such as stealth and action . George Lucas himself interfered later in the project and wanted the story was about Darth Maul and Darth Talon went together into battle with Darth Krayt and his Sith army . I don't even like Starwars and I hate EA more. Kinda Nintendo for not paying, but love that about them at the same time. Quite a few games could come to Wii U until EA shut them down even if complete making them loose money.

This just makes me even more sad that Disney closed down Lucasarts and gave everything to EA.

I'm still unclear as to why Disney gave the Star Wars licence to EA.

Even if EA wasn't as horrible of a company as it is, this is a licence to make Star Wars games, surely Disney could handle that, especially considering how much money the franchise is worth. :|

They may be a horrible company, but they make a ton of money and none of their games fail, even the games everyone hates them for (Like Sim City, that was actually a success even with all of the rage they got from it)

Nintendo not wanting to pay does not surprise me. It's sad really but it's Nintendo. I would have rather this not have even come to light.

Because EA is the biggest western gaming publisher. Disney obviously figured outsourcing it to them would be the easiest route to go. Personally I don't see this being a long term relationship. EA has a horrible reputation in the gaming community, especially for their shoddy work and anti-consumer practices. Do you think this won't transfer in to games they make for Disney? And unlike EA, Disney actually cares about their public image. They way I see it, they're going to put out a few broken Star Wars/Disney games and Disney is gonna get pissed because it hurts their image and they'll go elsewhere.

What I would like to know is if the people who loved the lucasarts Star Wars games in the past (specifically the Battlefront games though) are the same people who love these rainbowty generic FPS games like Battlefield, COD and the like? Because I am almost certain that the new Battlefront will be a generic FPS with the occasional jedi popping up every now and then.
