Hi,

New to the forum, pre-ordered my Wii U today.

This month is going to drag now.

Been debating whether to get the console for a while now and finally took the plunge. £199 seemed a steel to me.

Only thing to decide now is what free game to download when I finally get my console and MK8?

I haven't played Pikmin 3 yet (that's what I'll be getting), but if you haven't played The Wind Waker (HD or original) yet, I'd really suggest getting that.

 

Oh wait, it appears you're from Europe... I guess you guys have a lot bigger of a selection for the free game over there.

Mario is always a great choice. WW HD is a really good game and looks wonderful. NintendoLand is actually pretty good if you like mini games. And if you can get someone to play with you, even better.

zaaaaaam, nice to meet you, what a great time to be a wii u owner. I would suggest getting Windwaker for your free game. It's such a wonderful game and would compliment Mario

Any of the games would be a good choice, I wouldn't go with Party U as it's a collection of mini games, not a real game. However there is no Mario Party yet on Wii U so if you really want a party game it might be an OK choice.

 

The other 3 are top notch 1st party releases however so I'd go with one of those instead.

 

I've not played Windwaker HD, have played the other two. Of Pikmin and Mario U, I definitely got more enjoyment out of Mario U. Mario U and Pikmin are both short though. Not sure about Windwaker having never played it.

Only option here in Norway is order on coolshop.com. I already have a Wii U otherwise would have bought.

If you haven't gotten a chance to play The Wind Waker, i highly recommend it. Since i have it though i will be looking at grabbing Pikmin 3!
