According to Epic Games, those screenshots were powered by the Unreal Engine.  To me, it's a great start for both Valhalla Games Studios and Nintendo Software Planning & Development in Japan.  Since it's only 80% complete, let's hope they polish up the graphics, add a few extras on the game pad and we'll be looking at a new over the top action first and third person shooter/slash 'em up fun!

So been playing Ninja Gaiden III Razors Edge. Been a long time since I played a NG game. Original Xbox and before that NES.

Much like Platinum Games NG3 is a great B game. Not the highest budgets but still awesome. That is what Devils Third looks like to me is a cool B game. It's going to be flawed and not high budget but I expect a lot of fun action.  In the PS2/Xbox era got a lot of these. Devil May Cry,Maximo,Mark of Kri,Rygar,Way of the Samurai,Onimusha,Otogi,Ninja Gaiden Reboot,Shinobi and more. These games ranged from challenging to brutally hard. GoW came along and made it easy and borrowed a lot from lament of innocence.

 

I love these kinds of B action games and so glad PG is making them and one of the best is coming to Wii U  and while NG series isn't as good as PG offerings it can still be good fun so that much more hyped the other big name from the PS2/Xbox era of great action series is making one just for Wii U.  If people play some Ninja Gaiden they could get a good idea what to expect from Devils Third. Similar to how playing Warriors Orochi 3 gives an idea on Hyrule Warriors. These are not AAA but are good fun but not for everyone.

 

Devils Third and no pun intended is now my third most wanted Wii U game. Other top two are Xenoblade X and Bayonetta 2.
