"Platinum Games is developing The Legend of Korra, a third-person combat game based on the Nickelodeon TV show.

The Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Bayonetta 2 studio and Activision will launch its downloadable Legend of Korra game this fall on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.

Korra scribe Tim Hendrick is writing the story, which takes place between The Legend of Korra’s second and third seasons. As the series' leading lady, players will use the Avatar's fire, earth, air, and water elements in combat to fight familiar enemies such as Mecha Tanks and Chi Blockers, as well as other Benders in the 3-on-3 Pro-Bending arena.

A Webfoot Technologies-developed turn-based strategy version of The Legend of Korra will also hit Nintendo 3DS this year. Where Platinum's action game is all about fast-paced martial-art combat, the 3DS game will "focus on tactically maneuvering Korra and her allies on the battlefield."

Look for more on Platinum's The Legend of Korra game, including our hands-on impressions, later this week."

Considering Platnium is good with Nintendo kinda, and Activision says they want to support the Wii U, and this is a nick game. ... this is just weird. Their probably going to waste a bit of money and not see returns on some of those platforms.

Platinum Games is far to talented to make a bad game. Activision on the other hand is pushy enough to make them rush something.

You have a group of guys one side capable of making the next Capcom Aladdin but on the other side the kind of company that wants to force out Spongebob from THQ.

I think this is PG saying we need to pay bills

I was wondering when someone was going to post about this. It sounds like it has a lot of potential, from both devs, so I'm looking forward to it. Will definitely pick up the 3DS version, albeit on the cheap.

Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

I don't think PlatinumGames can make the call on which systems they can develop since Activision is the one publishing. Also this is another reason why Nintendo needs to be buy PlatinumGames or at least sign a contract. The folks at PG even said they want to work with Nintendo again.

Really looks like it'll be garbage anyways.  It's not like Platinum will have any creative freedom whatsoever with Activision and Nick breathing down their necks.

Plus its not on WiiU

Everyone, The Legend of Korra is not my project, so if you wanna know something about it, ask Activision.

Well that just about confirms that they aren't really into it.

Hmm, that's a little disheartening. But I'm glad they cleared it up

Haven't watched Korra since the end of the first season. But because Platinum's developing I'll keep an eye on it, even if Activision's publishing.
