I bought DK:TF yesterday and it's an absolutely fantastic game. So, I was wondering how likely it is they will make another one for Wii U? Or is this one of those '1 game per console' type of games?

Also, can we possibly expect a 3d mario or dk game like mario64/dk64 in the future?

Retro isn't working on a platformer. So if you get a new DK won't be from them. As for Mario a good chance.

Anything is possible. Everyone thought their first outing on WiiU would be a prime game or some new 3rd person shooter ip. I really hope their talents are put to more good use

It's pretty unlikely Retro will make another DKC game right after this one. If we get another on WiiU it'll be towards the end of the console's life. If you're looking for another amazing platformer there's Returns and Rayman Legends.

Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

They clearly hinted at it before. They kept mentioning barrel jokes. When a former  AAA dev tells you all those positions hired is not for a platformer it's not for a platformer. Nintendo has already announced 2 Metroid games are in the planning stages. One 2D and one is 3D. Pretty obvious which one goes where. Who will make them,we don't know but know a Studio who is good at it.

Last time people just made a flat assumption and let themselves down. If Retro is making another DK then they are over hiring. Same goes for a racing game.

I'd love another DK in a few years. It doesn't even need to be by Retro.

Nope people made that assumptio because they hired former naughty dog staff. Also the one guy said he was working on something that would be a crown achievement to something like that of his career. That to me and a lot of others did not scream DKTF

ND used to make plat formers and that's still an assumption just because of a studio. Esp when people didn't even know the skill position they were hired for. It was just a general these people hired from these studio's so lets make an assumption on it. The only one I can name is Gray Ginther an artist from Vigil who designed Chaoseater and the Jailer in Darksiders 1. Yes Retro still made barrel jokes.

These hires are specific skill positions. In fact those people hired from ID and ND were likely filling the gap that the other guys who split who were mainly artists and worked on Halo 4 at 343. Ever wonder why it looked so Metroidish. Just because you hire a guy from a certain studio known for making Uncharted or Quake does not mean they would be working on another one of those games. A specified skill position does give you an idea of what they could be working on and what they are not.

We will see I just wish we get something different. I purchased DKTF and loved it but doesn't mean I liked them working on it. Nintendo needs to give them the freedom to do whatever they want. They are so talented I just don't want another 2d platformer out of them.

I can wait till the end of the Wii U's life. I just hope we get one more, since it's such a fun series. I also just checked a Rayman Legends Wii U review and that looks like a lot of fun too. Not to mention it's only €20,- now so I will definitely pick this up.
