It's happening apparently, should you care? Probably not. Current Xbone's will be cheaper and in all honesty they are quite well made, not had any overheating or drive issues with mine.

 

Come to think of it the only time I bought a "slim" console was with 360 after my launch one red ringed. But, I suppose the cost of making the APU smaller is beneficial for them in the long term and it will use less power no doubt.

 

I can't wait to see size comparison between the slim and Kinect bar

MS does not get what slim means. 360 slim was an inch short than 360. They may take out the HDD and let you attach your own like Wii U as well. XBO lets you attach up to 16TB

Interesting, but I already have decent collections on my Wii U, 3DS, Blackberry, and Steam (with some overlap) and I don't see the point if I have to re-buy games I already own except for maybe a handful exclusives I'm interested in.

 

If I could play my Steam collection on the Xbone then that would be awesome as then I'd be able to play my collections on the big screen. But I'd most likely just get a steambox

Nice to know. I might buy a Xbox One Slim if my current X1 breaks or I trade it. It's currently a large device but I don't mind. It stays in one place. Slim would be more portable which is nice.

Xbox 360 slim did very well for MS, so why not do it again?
Smaller price and diferente look might renew the interest in the machine, which is what MS needs.

I like my xbox, but there just aren't that many appealing games to me, and I kinda feel like MS owes us for the hasty price cuts to those who adopted early... but that might just be me

 

Wouldn't be surprised if they planned the Slim to be released around the same time the early adopter's systems start to get problems x3

Exactly... The only reason we didn't get one for the Wii U was either the cut wasn't by much or it just took a while for it to get cut... Or Nintendo couldn't afford it... Your call haha
