And... back in 2013 ubisoft said they would never release an assassin's creed that wasn't complete and if it needed more time they would skip the yearly cycle or delay until it was ready.

That's it? Considering EVERYONE who is not part of GG is doing it, I don't see why that's a big Faux Pas. The movement is dying slowly. The moment that it was featured on the news, Colbert, etc is the moment that it began dying.

But I'm not bringing this up again, because the last time it happened, it turned into a cesspool.

Each of the incidents you mentioned resulted in an influx of people joining the GamerGate movement. The list of advertisers pulling from sites keeps on growing, and there have been 100 of sites full of crap saying this and that about GamerGate. Those things haven't scared anyone away from the movement.

Blizzard is a single company, and iirc they never directly said they're against it, I believe they just made some political statement or another. getting that from the fact IGN Germany tried to say Blizzard made and official statent against the movement then had to go and retract pretty much everything and backpedal fast enough to power india because it was complete bollocks.

 It's not at all dying.

The only place in which activity has decreased is twitter, and much of that is because the discussion has moved beyond that point. If the movement was dying it wouldn't make sense that bigger and bigger news stations are picking it up. You don't report on a dead story. You never hear news stations going "Breaking news! World war 1 is over!" because that happened a hundred years ago and no one cares anymore. News is specifically for things that are currently happening, and the size/importance of the thing happening dictates the size of the news station that picks it up. That's an obvious fact.

In other words: The number of members keeps growing, and the number of advertisers pulled keeps growing=movement still going strong.

 

Now as for why i's a fau pas? Because one of the main things that started this moement was the release of several articles saying that the gamer is "dead" and making several derogatory remarks against gamers. If giant bomb, a site that's supposed to be for gamers thinks that, along with all the other things people are saying about gamers (worse than isis, worse than the KKK, need to be wiped out like the holocaust, etc.) is acceptable and worth defending, if they think belittling minorities and telling them they know what the minority experience is better than an actual frinking minority is acceptable, they along with anyone else who agrees with them, can go stick a rake up their anus so far it comes out their mouth.

It was probably Patrick. I don't like him in general. I really do like the Extra Life,Quick Looks and Unprofessional Fridays.

Some of the specials like Demo Derby and Metal Gear with Drew is great. I read nothing form the site just the videos on Roku.
