Well, I bought Injustice when it first came out on the Wii U. That was my first copy of it. I never really got into because it didn't play too much like a typical Japanese 2D fighter (quarter circles and whatnot). With the impending approach of the PS4, I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, however it was to release while I was over in Hawaii for the first two weeks of December. While we were there, we went into a Gamestop (because we don't have those in Australia so lo and behold, that place you guys call a "shithole" was like a holy grail for 20 seconds). We had a PS3 in the hotel room (one of those new ones with the George Foreman grill on top of the disc cover) and decided to buy some games and a 2nd controller. Granted, we played more Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate than Injustice, but we did play it a fair few. So one was bought on impulse for intense local competition which I hardly ever get considering my busy life. The other two were intended.
The Wii U version got gimped with DLC support I believe. Never played the Wii U version online. Heck, haven't played Injustice online ever. As I said, I don't like it as a fighting game. Learning how to accurately perform things like combos and counter techniques is both restricted to quick input and queue order (basically, doing moves requires quickfire movements, but also pre-empted inputs. It's very hard to chain out a move at that moment without executing beforehand, like you do a typical 2D fighter.) That just made me not want to play it competitively, or at least that's how I felt about the game's configuration.
Oh god, The Last of Us has a pre-owned sticker on it. ****!
