I'm under the impression you can use Voice Chat online before and after matches but I see nothing on my screen to enable it.

 

Anybody know how to enable it?

Voice chat only works when playing with people on your friends list.  I believe you press the minus (-) button to turn voice chat on and off, but I haven't used it, so I can't say for sure.

Nintendo needs to get their mind together, you can chat online, but only if your friends with them, but if your not feel free to add a total stranger after a match.

Yeah this is dumb. If nintendo are worried about kids chatting with strangers then why dont they just add an option to turn off voice chat, either in the game or in the parental controls.

 

This is just like mario kart again. Those speech bubbles are pointless because they are all polite and friendly, I want to trash talk and call people bumholes for throwing blue shells at me.
