Hello,

I just picked up a Wii U over the weekend, and I am quite impressed. I'm a PS4 owner, and honestly haven't touched it since I got the Wii U (Not that I won't in the future). I'm an avid Zelda fan, so I just had to have Wind Waker HD (Seriously, where is OOT HD?). I love that I can play it on the tablet while my wife watches TV. Greatest invention ever!

Anyways, Looking for suggestions for games. I basically know the main titles like Mario/kart and Zelda, but have no idea what else I might like.

Welcome and congrats on getting a Wii U.

  • Super Mario 3D world
  • Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
  • Wonderful 101
  • Bayonetta 2
  • Nintendoland
  • Pikmin 3
  • New Super Mario U and Luigi U
  • Hyrule Warriors
  • Mario Kart 8
  • Super Smash Bros
  • Captain Toad - coming out in 3 days!

and others.. this is a good start.

Hyrule Warrior is a Zelda Fan Service at it's best Lots of content and replay value including DLC. Mario Kart 8 is superb and has DLC which gives a ton of new content. Great online racing.

I will leave others to sway you.

Welcome.

I won't make a list of games as it's already been done above.
I'm just going to add that you should really check eShop's Indie games and Virtual Console. Being a Zelda fan, you'll find some treats there! :)

congrats on your purchase! i would also recommend Nintendo Land. It is probabl $20 or so on Amazon. it's a decent collection of mini games and party games. later on, i'd also recommend Sonic and All Stars Transformed. It's a decent racing game.

Welcome to the Wii U! Some of my favorite games, and I know this will stir some people's ire, are Call of Duty: Black Ops II and CoD: Ghosts, also the Arkham titles are great and one of my all-time favorites is Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

The Disney Infinity stuff is a blast! My kids and I play it together.

The Duck Tales HD remake is good fun.

Lego City: Undercover is a fun and funny game.

Assasnins Creed games rock and I could go on.

But remember, there are no games on the Wii U.

;-P

Welcome to the Nintendo gang, congrats on your recent investment. There are tons of great games out for the machine, most of them have already been posted. But I agree with Rayman Legends being miles better on Wii U than other platforms(I have it on ps4 and it looks pretty, but there is just something missing). See ya around

Picked up Mario Kart 8 the other day. What a great game! My 2 year old can actually play it with me which is nice.
