Hello, I am new to WiiU gaming system. I am a pc gamer for many years. We bought this for our girls, 6 and 8 years old, for Christmas. They have played it every day since they got it. The other day, my wife went to take the disc out of the cover and cracked it. Being a pc gamer I have many programs to copy my own discs so this doesn't happen. Is there any programs to back up these games? I know it is too late now for this one, but we replaced the game from Ebay for $50.00. I really don't want to keep doing this if they break again. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Not really. If you purchased the game from the Nintendo eShop than you can keep it on a hard drive and redownload whenever you need to, but there's no supported way of backing up a disk (or even using the disk to get a download version)

Welcome to the boards. Yep, as Grahamf stated there isn't really anything you can do regarding the physical disc. Just use extra care so it won't happen again.

Enjoy the boards and have fun with your Wii U.

Won't be able to do this as all video game systems have copy protection.
It sucks that the disc got broke but either go digital or teach your kids to take better care of them.
My son is 5yr and I don't let him touch the games at all because I know he isn't ready yet.

There is a way for heavy scratches (they sell some material u can put on and wash after, or use toothpaste and was after, but not for cracks.... i dont think :)

Its strange, your little girls didnt brake it, but ur wife did.
