Apparently this february, amiibo support will be added to the New 3DS. You'll get to use your amiibos on Smash 3DS. Software updates may and likely will be required.
I read an article saying the Amiibo adapter for older handheld systems to add amiibo support to them is coming summer this year in Japan. http://nintendoenthu...an-this-summer/ Quite awhile before a US release, most likely, if you ask me. I've also heard rumors it will cost $19.99 for the adapter.
I like the way Project Steam will use the fire emblem amiibos, to add fire emblem characters to their game.
I also expect to see a huge increase in amiibo sales soon...

I actually am a bit excited to use the FE Amiibo in Code Name Steam, changes up the style of play a bit, i just fear getting those amiibo will be difficult for most unless there is a major reprint of the figures.

Not sure if it was in the direct but I do recall hearing there may be more stock but as of a month ago already. . Marth is hard to get at normal price.
I can only see the others in that series being the same way. It would make sense though to have more available since it's an attraction to some for the game.

I'm looking forward to using the Fire Emblem amiibos in Codename: Steam whenever a get a N3DS XL. Honestly, I'm thinking we'll see something like Miiverse on 3DS happening again. And that's not a good thing.
Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

The New 3DS won't become compatible with Amiibos this February... it currently IS compatible
