If the big N gave you a call and asked you to take one of their existing IP's and come up with a game that utilizes their new touch screen controller, which IP would you choose? If giving only three ways to use their TC(touchscreen controller), what are three innovative things that you would utilize the TC for using the IP you choose?

My IP: Star Fox(gamecube version)

1. After overhauling the graphics, I would use "TC" as a Interactive HUD that resembles the inside controls of a jet fighter; radar, fire systems, FLIR ect..I would implement features that allow u to fire missiles pressing a shoulder button, while Fox McLeod is hover on the tv screen, the user can then guide that missile using the "TC" in their hands. Sounds simplistic? Imagine ol' Foxy hovering thousands of feet above an unsuspecting compound, he fires a missile with the capabilities of boring through hard materials. On the "TC" you guide the missle, it makes impact with the compound walls but doesn't explode. You watch on the touch screen as the missile burrows through rock until it breaks through inside the compound. The user can then guide the missile throughout the compound to any specific target inside or destroy the compound itself.

2. For ground missions I would use the "TC" as both controls for Fox and his ship. Using the analog sliders to control Fox, the shoulder/A/B/X/Y ect. for shooting, jumping, interacting, and the touch screen itself would have a predator drone-like view representing his always watching craft above. By the touch of the screen the ship could provide power ups, extra weapons/ammo, support fire, coorinated rendevos, survellince ect..

3. I would use the "TC" as a way to coordinate online battles. Seeing maps and the location of teammates just by looking down on screen to find their position. Knowing were the lines are being overran by the enemy and the ability to receive different squad missions via "TC", that accomplishes the mission for the overall team. Example: Let's say a "team" consist of 20 people. Each team is broken down to 4 "squads of five people. Now, let's say the team's mission is to over take a compound and clear it of enemies. "Squad 1"(five different people playing at home) may receive orders via "TC", to scout the area and coordinated with "Squad 2" for an attack. "Squad" 2 receives orders saying meet up and provide support for "Squad 1". Let's say "Squad 3" orders are to provide support using tanks and "Squad 4" orders are to provide air support. Each team would have individual missions with one overall objective.

Just want to know some of the ideas that we might expect from some developers while we wait patiently for the Wii U.
....sorry so long just want to give a few thoughts on what could be done with that controller...l hope that is at least capable of the things I mentioned. Time will tell.

i cant go into the 3 innovative ways to use the controller. my game would be zelda, metroid, or starfox. the reason being is because i would love to outdo the so called great games of today that everyone is drolling over. people this gen have forgotten how goodnintendo developers are and i cant wait for the Wii U for them to take back their crown.

If I were to make a game, it would be from Nintendo's past since people will think it is new. Nazo no Murasame Jō is the game I would make. I would used the touchscreen to create spells to heal and damage enemies. I would Gyroscope to see around the surroundings and if to direct a type of weapon to attack from above.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.
