Im really hoping someone can help me.

 

I first purchased the lego marvel super heroes game in 2014 for a present, everything was fine my boys loved the game, then earlier this year I was getting error code for disk is dirty, I took the disk to the game shop for them to clean, then game froze on the marvel shield logo just after opening animations.

 

Fearing disk was faulty, I brought a brand new copy of the game yesterday, when I tried to load it this morning, the same problem occurs.  The game freezes on the marvel shield logo just after opening animations.

 

All other Wii U games work, I have also deleted the saved data for this game.

 

Please help - my 9 year old & 4 year old are looking at me to fix this problem & I am now clueless

I did a quick search and seems this particular game is full of weird bugs, and glitches and some of them are pretty major. But, I don't see anything regarding your problem of the game not even getting past the opening animation.

 

Make sure your Wii U is updated to the lastest firmware, it should be on auto-update but just make sure. You can go into settings and check for an update. Also, contact Nintendo Support and see if they may be of help. I honestly don't have any other answers.

From the research I did online, other users had contacted WII and they gave them the game manufacturers contact info.

 

I have raised a ticket with WB Games and had an automated response stating average response time of 2 days, so will wait and see & post any response on here for other users.

 

I have yet to update software as the Wii U is not connected to the internet, will be trying that later this week when I get time.

quick update - ive just updated the software on the wii u & inserted marvel super heroes - still wont load past the marvel shield.

 

No response from WB - there customer service department leaves a lot to be desired.

 

Still 2 unhappy boys

Sorry to hear it is still happening. Sounds like a bad software bug in the game. I have all the Lego games on Wii U, played most however I haven't played this yet. I will give it a go tomorrow and see if it happens to me as well.

Are there any chips to the paint of the top of the disc? Even tiny amounts. If so the disc is ruined. People often don't know the laser reads the top reflective layer so if the top is scratched then you maybe somehow got two damaged discs.
