Really a newbie question here and would like some help to get my daughter playing this game. 

 

I bought her Disney Infinity 2.0 Starter Pack for christmas but she can only play in Toy Box mode!

 

I read that there are Play Sets with lots of missions to be played so purchased her a Marvel Figure - Hawk Eye. 

 

I still can't figure out how to start the Play Set. Any advice please??

 

From what I have read all the starter packs contain the same software.

Ah, ok that is the issue. That top set is striclty for TOY BOX play, any figure from Disney Infinity 2.0 works in the TOY BOX as well as 1.0. But, if you wish to use playsets and missions, you will need the lower picture (Marvel Super Hero Starter Set). It comes with a game disc needed for that content, including the figures, base, and playset piece. 

The only good thing about this, is that many of the starter packs can be found at a discounted price or on sale in many stores now. So that is a saving grace for you. Later this year, Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars will be coming out.

Ahh that sucks! What a scam. Doesn't say anything on the box about that. Disney and their money making machine. 

 

I'm assuming the base and everything else is the same? Cant i just buy the Marvel Disc from somewhere?

Some online retailers may have the Marvel Super Heroes Disc, you will also need a playset piece too. One comes with this starter pack, you may be able to find it separately as well. Other playset pieces come with figures like this:

 

 

Browse around and like i said, check pricing on the other starter packs because you may save yourself time, trouble and shipping from online retailers if you can get a good sales price or discounted price on a new set in store.
