Remember when Nintendo games like this would be getting 9/10 or 10/10's everywhere you look, the charm is there but maybe the spark is gone.

 

I will get pre owned sometime as I still like the look of it.

It's scoring pretty much in line where most solid yoshi games fall. A few points lower then yoshi island ds. Yoshi games really never ever got pure 9's and 10's at least not since the age of the internet.

If it's anything like Yoshi's Story, then I'm not surprised. Yoshi games are usually hit or miss and I can see why they can get low scores. Yarn Kirby also didn't do too well either.

But I loved Yoshi's Story and will get Yarn Yoshi as I will likely love it.

I think most people will love it especially platformer fans going by the reviews, but then again I haven't played.

I give it a 40 out of 40 for amiibo support. Certainly reviewing better than new island but that got bad wrap for being to easy although I found it fairly fun.

I haven't cared about GameSpot in years since I left that site and this review doesn't change that so... (shrugs)

It's actually a pretty good site. They're not afraid to criticize Nintendo games when it's warranted. For reference, they gave Yoshi's New Island a 5 out of 10.

Yarn Kirby also didn't do too well either.

 

What? Kirby's Epic Yarn was loved by most critics, it sits at 86 on Metacritic and GameSpot gave it 8.5... It also sold more than 2 million.
