Update - Dragon Quest X and XI announced for the NX. Megaton?

• Two different games with the same story similar to Ni no Kuni.
• Both games slated for 2016 release to coincide with series 30th anniversary.
• The two games will still have the same core staff working on them.
• Is being made for the PS4 and 3DS (probably New3DS)
• DQXI is also coming to the NX (probably the PS4 version?)
• PS4 version is developed with the assistance of Orca.
• PS4 version runs on UE4
• PS4 version is open(-ish?) world. Similar to DQVIII
• 3DS version is developed with the assistance of Toy Logic.
• 3DS Version presents a classic 2D Sprite style on the bottom screen.
• 3DS version will have 2D sprite battles + random battles when playing with the D-Pad and 3D battles when playing with the circle-pad.

I can't, however if the owner actually takes a few minutes to help the admin out the forums could be changed and NX section added. URL doesn't have to change persay although it might help down the road.

within the last two years, probably. last 6 months, not that i know of.

I was really excited when I saw the announcement. Now I have more than one reason to get a New 3DS later on. Except SE thinks the west doesn't want DQ. Still waiting on DQ7 and DQ8...

Having the top-down sprites view on lower screen of 3DS is kinda neat but seems like a waste when something more useful could be put there

According to a SE rep, it's just a consideration. More like a accidental leak if you ask me.

It's not announced for NX yet. Just a possibility. In a press release, Square Enix said, “Additionally, we are also considering launching on Nintendo’s in development NX platform.”

 

I'm probably getting it for PS4 either way though. It has a lot of games I'm interested in on it/coming to it
