To summarize, the news from earlier was correct: Wolf Link offers a new dungeon of trials, Ganondorf adds a difficulty challenge, Link amiibo replenishes arrows, and Sheik or Zelda will replenish hearts. Another interesting feature is that the Wolf Link amiibo will be compatible with the upcoming Zelda U game.
