Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed 3 will feature a seasons system that will impact gameplay. For example, “heavy snow and ice will block paths in winter and bog down movement”. But seeing as you’re an awesome assassin, this is an advantage. You’ll be able to “use the trees to move through the environment” (as shown in the trailer) and that is something you can use over the enemy. I’d assume, however, there are advantages and disadvantages to each season.

There are also historical events that will take place in the game, including the Boston Massacre, the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Siege of Boston, the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, and the Great Fire of 1776 in New York.
