The Producer of Resident Evil said they want to make it more action base and less surviveal Horror because they want sales like CoD, what do you think of this?.

Really, the reason people keep buying Resident Evil games is to see if they're back to scary now, since the box-art clearly says "BUY THIS GAME IT'S THE SCARIEST THING EVER LOLOLOL!!!"...

And no, CoD is not to blame. What makes you think that? The one at fault here is clearly Crapcom for being stupid.

Anyway, good bye RE, you were good the first 3 times.

Cod has nothing to do with this. The guy just said they look at call of duty sales and say they want great sales like those. This doesnt mean anything horrific is going to happen to RE anyway . Action is a good thing for RE imo. Plus i never found it scary anyway just blood pumpingly exciting when you see a zombie or monster. Look at the movies they are way more action than horror so i dont think the whole series is supposed to be full of short cutscenes with somewgat scary faces and generic zombie models. I like the series and i think capcom has a handle on it :)

It's the way it sounded, like they would make RE full on Action because of CoD, from the start RE was not like that, I'm saying it sounding like devs want there games to compete with CoD when they are not even in the same genre.

I don't know, while yes, COD does have some blame, most of it(99.9%)goes to the idiots who think being COD sells.(Didn't work for everyone else who tried it, why should it work for them?)

That being said, I do believe that RE:R is putting them back on the right track.(At least that's what I get from the Demo, haven't gotten the full game.)

I'd more-so blame CAPCOM for being stupid than Call of Duty being a bad influence.

Of course CoD is to blame. It's CoD, by definition it is to blame for everything. That includes everything from WWII to the tiny unnoticeable cut I had on my finger today (really how else could it get there if it wasn't CoD).

I think RE needs to stay somewhat unique. If people want to play CoD than they can play CoD. Why would someone play RE to play CoD.

For some reason I feel like I'm saying really random weird things right now. Time for bed

sure blame a game in a different genre for the lack of sales success in your games series. Cod is really unrelated to the Re franchise aside from the zombie mode that treyarch makes.

I don't think Call of Duty has much, if anything to do with the Producer's decision.
People are beginning to feel increasingly disillusioned with the Call of Duty series - you can already see the signs, at least I'm pretty sure that's not just in Australia (where I'm from).

This. I give Activision two or three more years before they run CoD into the ground faster than Guitar Hero. :P

I'm willing to bet on that. Guitar Hero fell so fast you didn't even notice it. Activision is some seriously ruthless business.

I feel it is mostly Capcom being greedy, it can make them money but at the cost of losing older fans is it really worth it ? To me it is no, the games can have action moments but they need to still have fear in the games.

I'm pretty sure that it's not North America though, that game is starting to get into Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest Territory.

Cod is pass monster hunter and dragon quest territory in terms of sales and the popularity it has.

Yeah, unfortunate that RE:ORC is selling better then RE;R cause now they'll make more action games instead of horror. Funny how people bash RE;R cause its 3Ds only & praise RE:ORC before its even released & now they chant RE:ORC sucks & forget that RE:R even exist
