I posted this thread as a solution to seeing multiple threads about untrue Wii U games and software rumors.
If you'd like to report a false Wii U game and/or software-related rumor, please post it here.
I will put the rumor on this exact post using the edit tool and give you credit.

EDIT: Rumors can't be wrong, only likely wrong. This thread is for the rumors that are likely to be wrong. Sorry. Also, feel free to discuss the rumors on this post on this thread.

Most rumors are false, but we can't know if they are until they're disproved. It really annoys me how we get something like 4 threads about unreliable rumors a day, rumors from people outside of the gaming industry posting on small websites that no one could logically think would turn out to be true. I think instead of creating an entire thread about these types of rumors people should just make a status about them instead. I'm fine with people creating threads about rumors from reliable sources though, like GameInformer or IGN.

Rumours are the basis of discussion. They can also never be truly ruled out o being true.
Even though they may come from unreliable sources, they can always turn out to be true.
Also, close to any consoles' release many rumours are bound to be mentioned, positive or negative.


Rumours are rumours. Nothing more, nothing less. If you see a rumour and don't believe it say so and state a reason. No need to have a thread to list all false rumours.

False rumours will just be forgetten and that's it.


If you don't mind, I'm closing this thread. I don't see any more reason to keep it open as you're never entirely sure if a rumour is false, nor if its true. They also stir up discussion and are practically all we have to go on at the moment.
