So no unreal 4? (Possibly) The crys of NINTENDO fans going mad and panicing, threatening to jump ship if nintendo dont comply with developers of games a lot of them have never really played are damanding of the wii u. I have a wii and 3ds and a very dusty 360! My friends all have ps3s and 360 and if i watch crisis or battlefield i dont sit there thinking, "that looks crap look at the frame rate " i think wow! If only i cud use a wii mote on that game (am i the only one who prefers mw3 on the wii to the hd consoles btw? And imagine it with motion plus mmmm). Now very soon i will be able to, and another positive is it will look better than it does on there systems! And before pc gamers start on me my answer is "no" i dont really care because pc gaming mite be the most amazing experence ever, but u gotta do it at a desk on ur own, so i cud never sacrifice having friends over for 60fps :) .
How can anybody be upset with graphics better than what we r getting now, and of cause, nintendo franchises. Oh and lets not forget all the downloadable wiiware and other indipendant games we can get, and the fact we can keep playing on our controller when our wifes say turn it off, and film streaming, and the 3ds link up, and the backwards combatability, the list really does go on. So u know what unreal, im a nintendo fan thats saying "its seriously is your loss guys" and i hope nintendo pays a team to make an engine that works on all new consoles and doesnt make every game using it look like its set in a church. Wii u? Yes please x

Because we want to play future games, in the next console which will be around for the next 5-6 years?
Not just ports of the last 6, and maybe 2 more years.
We're not all fanboys. :(

But have u read how much the new consoles we be??? I think whats happening is nintendo has made a machine powerful enough to be affordable and future proof in lots of ways. I think u should decide what u want out of gaming because if its power and aaa shooters u want why wud u buy a wii u? The wii u will be an interesting machine and look at the 3ds and vita war, all the big devs probably though nothing of the 3ds but now if they have a brain in there heads and want to make mony (there jobs) they gotta see what people are realy playing! I think dev are going to have to rethink if they want to make money!

Well yeah, Nintendo could make it cheaper with less power like they did with Wii and then be more succesful than the others. But they are donig something better, IMO, now: targeting the hobbyists.

The Wii sold big time in the casual audience, however: they didn't buy more than 2 or 3 games, for example, and a company makes more profit on software than hardware, so they need to make money from the people that view gaming as a hobby and not just put their consoles away after a few games. And these hobbyists, or as some people might call it "hardcore" gamers, demand good graphics, so Nintendo will have to make a powerful console in order to statisfy their focus group.

E3 Nintendo has a LOT to prove. They can't leave any stone unturned when it comes to the Wii U. They have to blow us all away. Graphics, gameplay/controller integration, online, future proof, exclusive content from 3rd party, and first party blockbuster that can rival the best in presentation and being modern.

The new consoles will be 450 dollars max.
Sony don't have a brand-new Blu-ray drive to push, they'll dump the cell.
Even if they don't sell it at a loss, without the expensive proprietary hardware, it can get a good jump in the numbers game without a heavy price.

Microsoft will sell at a loss to get the box into your home, and I'm sure it'll be the most powerful next-gen.

I don't like this idea that Nintendo fans "shouldn't care" about graphics or hardware power. Are we all forgetting how much ass Nintendo kicked with the N64 and GC in terms of hardware? Is it too much to ask for that again?

Seriously though, UE4 not being on Wii U would worry me, but if it still has a steady flow and wide variety of first and third party NON-SHOVELWARE games, then I'll be fine with it. And that's a HELL of a lot of emphasis on non-shovelware.

And you forget to mention the NES, SNES, GB... DS was powerful in my opinion too, being the first 3D handheld, even though it was outdone by the PSP quickly.

But yes, up until the Wii, Nintendo was all about power.

Now you're playing with power, super power.

Well, their consoles were about that. The company itself was, thankfully, about having fun. But the point is, that power does matter (however not as much as a lot of graphicwhores think, but still, it matters). I will be dissapointed if the Wii U is just upgraded PS360 like the Wii was upgraded GC, but let's just expect a minor jump to not be dissapointed (even though I'm almost sure it won't be)

I am asking for power myself, I hated it when I only had the wii and some great games that were coming out for the Xbox 360 and ps3 that I wanted were not coming over to the Wii because it was too weak.
