Your idea only works if hardcore gamers have any interest in the Wii U to begin with. After this E3, they don't.

But if they delay another year, they won't have any hardcore gamers at all if the 720 and PS4 are announced.

My point is they don't have any hardcore gamers now

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Sure they do! Did you not see Assassin's Creed III and the pretty much confirmed Black Ops 2?

It's also getting Grand Theft Auto V.

Pretty much confirmed is not confirmed. GTA V also is not confirmed for Wii U. ACIII is a direct port instead of showing the Wii U's extra capabilities and adding some better graphics.

Aren't graphics the thing kids prioritize nowadays?

In all seriousness, though, we can all enjoy our ports of Mass Effect 3, Batman: Arkham City and Darksider II. We also got Tekken Tag Tournament 3 and some other nice goodies to hold us off until more hardcore games come out.

Brah, you're being a bit too pessimistic.

Mass effect 3 is useless if you don't have the first two to play to get the full character trilogy buildup. Also, it won't have a good ending anyway.

Batman looks worse on Wii U based on the trailer shown, with texture problems.

Darksiders II looks good since its like Zelda but we need to see how it makes use of the tablet first.

Pessimism is mistaken for realism on these forums. The Wii U at E3 did not convince me that it is a next gen console and is a major upgrade over my PS3.

I understand why people aren't happy with Nintendo's E3 preformance. It wasn't very good. But there are a lot of good launch window games coming out.

Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bro U, Pikman 3, Wii Fit U, Wii U Panorama View, SiNG, LEGO City: Undercover, Project P-100, Game & Wario, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Ninja Daiden 3, Darksiders 2, Batman Arkham City Armored Edition, Mass Effect 3, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Trine 2, TANK! TANK! TANK!, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, ZombiU, Raymen Legends, Just Dance 4, Assassins Creed 3, Sports Connection, Avengers: Battle for Earth, Rabbids Land, Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013.

I put the games that are "hardcore" in bold. Thats 17 good games you can choose from. Sure, no Zelda, no Metroid, no SSBro's, but still seventeen good games. And most of the games are from third parties, too. So we have third party support, we have mature titles to choose from, and we have some really good first party titles too (Project P-100 looks cool). So I don't get why the doom and gloom at launch.

And Nintendo is publishing nine games. Sure, some are Wii Fit U and mini game collections, but Mario, pikman, project p-100, and Lego city all look good. All published by Nintendo.

Lol Ninja Glaiden is casual and Super Mario is Hardcore WTF?
But most of them are ports and they did not show them they focused on Nintendo land.

Ninja got terrible reviews. It is hardcore, but not quality. Its possible that has changed, sure. My point isnt that Nintendo did a good job this E3.. They failed. My point is they had plunty to show and choose not to. There are tons of good games. At least seventeen. I doubt your going to buy all of them. Sure, you can get.some of them on 360. But not Pikmin. Not ZombiU. Not Mario. Not p-100. Not Lego city underground. Not Rayman. And Trine 2 is suppose.to be.the.best version.

So if a perspective buyer wants all these games and.the.Ports, why buy a console that doesnt have.these games?

The only game that sounds most appealing to pre-teen/teens is ZombiU.
They need some more games like that which aren't ports.

What do people have against ports? Shouldn't the Wii U getting (good) ports at all mean that developers are planning to support it? The third party games will come.

Hmm...quite possible. I am subbed to gguru1.

Just curious, are you the guy who I saw get into a comment section arguement about this on one of gguru1's videos on youtube?

Nintendo's finanical situation is fine. They can lose $256 MILLION each year and they wont run out till 2052. Then with Stocks, tech, and Wii U sales they would last till 2075. Nintendo is fine. But they wont wait till next year lol. The line up isnt as good as we all wanted but it isnt a trash launch line up either. I want ZombiU and New Super Mario Bros U and Darksiders 2.

Judging by Nintendo's current financial states it would not be the best move to move forward to next year.
While i do agree that Nintendo deserves a giant face palm for E3 but if they move it till next year devs will likely have lost interest in the WiiU and previous projects in development like Darksiders 2 and Aliens: colonial marines may be cancelled due to the games being released far to late.
Also i do know that Nintendo does have a lot of money but i don't think they can afford to move it to next year.
judging by the the trailers it doesn't seem like much of an improvement from the 360/ps3, lets just hope their next gen consoles will be around about the same.

[E3 2012] Nintendo gets it's throne back.

I should rephrase my comment. I suspect it will be multiplatform. Knowing Ubisoft it's not like them to keep it exclusive. That said I wouldn't mind if they did as it would give me and I'm sure others even more of a reason to buy the Wii U.

To us Nintendo fans it has games, but what about the audience they are trying to win over? If it is launching in November then why are there no announcements of the big third party games that the PS360 gamers care about? Why is there no annual AAA games on there like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Splinter Cell, FIFA, NHL, Tiger Woods, Madden, etc?. Without those, the Wii U becomes another GameCube or Wii, a machine good for nintendo games only (which is fine for some of us, but not for the audience Nintendo wants, which is what the shareholders want too, which is the most important thing to Nintendo). I'm sure some people don't want to pay $250+ for a console that will only play 4 or 5 games a year from Nintendo and maybe 20 games lifetime. From a business perspective, the Wii U launch is awful.

I am one of the people nintendo tried to win over, i just dont care for mario party, NSMB, donkey kong, zelda, or nintendo land anymore. I still trusted Nintendo cause it has Metroid, pikmin, and smash bros while the other 2 (Sony & Microsoft) dont have any exclusives I enjoy so it'd be A dream to have nintendo's 3 first party games i love and the rest of the 3rd party games all in 1 console but now it seems unlikely. I'd rather wait and buy the Ps4 and xbox next then pay 300$ for A console with game droughts that are worse when i look all around me and see all those 3rd party games that i COULD have been playing instead of trying to raise money for next gen. <<<< once again T_T

Did you see that Murphy guy? No other console can do that, except the Vita.

I was pretty disappointed by Nintendo's conference because they could have done so much more with it. If they had showed more gameplay footage for the 3rd party titles or even showed logos or trailers for the ones that were coming, make it clear what exactly Miiverse is and talk about how exactly they're going to do online this time around and get into a little more detail about the launch of the system then this could have been an infinitely better show. They could have still showed off Wii Fit U, Just Dance 4 and SiNG but there was no reason to spend so much time talking about each one, they could have briefly talked about them and talk about them more in the Developer Round Table after the main conference. Its frustrating because I really want the Wii U to succeed and I wanted Nintendo to show what the Wii U could do and get people who own an Xbox or PS3 to consider getting this and I don't feel like Nintendo did any of that
