It's been roughly 18 hours since the end of Nintendo's E3 2012 presentation, which left many of us disappointed. We've had time to let it marinate, let it sink in for a while, discuss our feelings with others, and read journalists first impressions after playing some of the games. How do you feel now? Here are a few things I liked about Nintendo's E3 presentation:

1. Pikmin 3 looks fantastic. I'm not into Pikmin, but this game has my attention. It's not a system seller, but we're not Nintendo employees or stock holders (most of us anyways).

2. New Super Mario Bros. U also looks great. Yes it looks similar to NSMB Wii, and yes NSMB 2 is coming out shortly before hand (on a different system, however), but I still like what I've seen so far. 2D Mario games have never disappointed me, and I dont expect anything different from this game. This game will be a system seller for die-hard Mario fans and casual players alike.

3. Batman: Arkham City looks to be the best version of the game. Nintendo hasn't put the demo I have seen on youtube, but go here http://e3.nintendo.c...s/#/wiiu/batman to view an awesome trailer for this game that gives a great demonstration of how the GamePad is implemented.

4. WB keeps their momentum with Lego City: Undercover. This is an 8-12/family game that looks great imo. It looks like a great mix of open world exploration with traditional Lego liscensed property games (ex Lego Star Wars). And of course there is plenty of charming Lego humor, much in the same vein as the Paper Mario series.

5. Rayman Legends just might have me more excited than New Super Mario Bros. U. It looks like it plays fast and has very unique multiplayer uses for the GamePad.

6. Last but not least is ZombiU. The more I learn about this game, the more I like it. For people that didn't know, Ubisoft's first ever game was titled "Zombi", so this game is something of an homage, reboot, shout out, whatever you want to call it, to Ubisoft's roots. I also like that it's more survival horror than just bustin' skulls. Keza MacDonald of IGN wrote that, "It's no exaggeration to say that ZombiU is a potential system-seller at the moment." http://www.ign.com/a...survival-horror That's really high praise, especially for a 3rd party game on a Nintendo console.

Finally, after some hands-on time with Wii U, a fellow at the UK based The Guardian said that Wii U "might just be Nintendo's best console since the Super NES." http://www.guardian....-first-hands-on

Have your thoughts/feelings changed at all after having time to let E3 sink in for a while?

I agree with your positive points, especially:
-Pikmin 3 actually took my attention. I never played Pikmin before, but because of the lack of much better games, it caught my eye.
-NSMBU will be a must have for me because of the loads of SMW references: circling Boos, diagonal mountains, one giant overworld map confirmed, and most important of all: Baby Yoshi!
-ZombiU looks like a surprisingly cool game, though I don't know if it will be worth a full price.

The other awesome Wii U games are non-exclusives, so they didn't really interest me in particular.

Edit: "Have your thoughts/feelings changed at all after having time to let E3 sink in for a while?"

Yes.

If they would have shown for instance that the Wii U will have the best versions of Aliens: Colonial Marines, Darksiders 2 and Assassin's Creed 3 (games hardly mentioned in the conference), and cut down on the fitness/dancing/singing, they might have been able to get the message through that the Wii U is not just an add-on for the Wii, but a new, mighty good console for gamers. Now, the message was opposite and that's what was bad about it. This very conference might have caused more damage than we can imagine in that it probably had more focus on casual gaming than previous Wii conferences.

HOWEVER, since this is the "positive" E3 thread, Pikmin 3 and ZombiU looked fun. And outside of the conference, Game & Wario, Project P-100 and Trine 2 looked interesting. And let's not forget that there will be three E3 mystery games revealed on Thursday, which together with the fact that the three hinted Wii U games from the Facebook site hasn't been revealed yet, might hint that there is something left to show on E3. The launch line-up looks really good now and I hope this machine is too good to fail. But if it succeeds, it will not be thanks to the E3 conference.

I've got my fingered crossed for the mystery games, but I'm not holding my breath, lol. Hopefully one of them is Retro's project.

Project P-100 and Game & Wario both look amazing, if only they would have revealed them during the conference...

With the partnership between WB and Nintendo, the possibilities of Batman or another character coming to SSB sounds pretty good to me right now.

I agree completely with what you said, but I must add a few things. One, the launch line up is impressive, thanks to Ubisoft and WB. Honestly, Ubisoft is the best Wii U supporter. I am excited for ZombiU. Its funny that I didn't realize there was no RE6 announced because I was so excited for that one game.

So the 3 Facebook games weren't Pikman, NSMB, and NintendoLand? I wonder if they just forgot to update their Facebook and scratch/display them or if we really are getting 3 more new announcements.

Where is the announcement that there will be 3 games revealed on Thursday?

My only concern now is that reports are saying it will only launch with white color. I just don't understand what nintendois doing. They show off the black console all of e3 but won't launch with that color. I will wait for the black console sucks because I'm usuall
Launch day buyer but not if I can't get black.
