Everyone knows the current financial position of silicon knights. But what do you take of this...
"We are scaling back to a core group and focusing all our efforts on future opportunities," said Denis Dyack, founder and president of Silicon Knights in a statement. "As to the rumor about Nintendo, it is not true and has no basis in fact."
A rumor surfaced on NeoGAF last week that suggested Nintendo had pulled the plug on the heavily rumored Eternal Darkness 2 after Silicon Knights had to shell out $4.5 million plus additional legal fees to Epic Games from the recent lawsuit. Dyack said he plans to appeal the decision, however.

I wouldn't Iike this if it was true, and if it is I refuse to believe it.
I have been waiting for Eternal Darkness 2 forever! ED: Sanity's Requiem was my favorite GameCube Game!
They should at least try to release it, or hand it off to a better developer. (Retro should or Even Valve cuz their awesome, but then they wouldn't be able to make a third...get it, get it? Lol

So, is he saying that the rumours about the ED2 cancellation aren't true, or that it was never in development at all?
Either way, it's good to know that the project wasn't potentially canned... ED2 could be crucial to Wii U's success amongst hardcore gamers.

If it was never in development, then why were there those Eternal Darkness-like patents filed by Denis Dyack, the Silicon Knights founder, and Shigeru Miyamoto in 2010?
