The Game startion podcast is something I occasionally listen to. I was going through a backlog of thier episodes and I came across this one. While I don't agree on many of the issues they discuss I believe that they brought up many things to talk about. Here is the link the point to really start listening is at 2:00:40.

i agree with some of it but not about how you can do everything a console does on a gaming pc.
also, i think alot of people don't have the money to buy a gaming pc. but a good argument non the less.

They said something about about Nintendo having no new IP's... Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that Game & Wario, and Project P-100 are new IP's technically. Game & Wario is kind of a Wario Ware game, but Project P-100 is brand new and published by Nintendo, that's a new IP. Also with the issue of "there are a whole bunch of ports of year old games", I counted 5 out of 31 games that are old games, two of which are being re-mixed or improved (ie. Ninja Gaiden). 11 are coming out as multi-platform titles. 15 games that are exclusive to the Wii U... Out of all the games that have been announced i am interested in 15 of them, that is more than ANY other launch I have ever seen.

yea, those guys really need to see the new playstation/xbox (or even the ones right now) before saying that

go ahead and try to have a unique experience, family moments, multiplayer gaming, and mario on a computer

if anything the other 2 consoles should be argued against for this, as they are more closer to just plain computers
