I rarely post a new topic... but this one is too good to miss

http://www.notenough...fall-of-gaming/

It explains current gaming business, and why it is declining, very badly...

I am not gonna debate on this, I am just sharing the info...

I think while games storylines have become more complex, the games themselves have become stagnant. There's no originality to them, Nintendo are trying a hardware solution, but that's only part of the battle, there needs to be some fresh ideas and new genres.

For example when the first stealth game came about it revolutionised the concept of mindlessly shooting enemies by having to avoid them in order to survive was mind blowing. My first stealth game (Metal Gear Solid) had such a huge impact on my view of videogames it was like playing the original Zelda for the first time.

I wish new concepts would come about while keeping complex story issues in. For example Ocarina of Time had some great complex story issues while not bogging the game down to just an interactive movie.
