It's a shame, open world could have provided an interesting experience. I'm not sure if I'll enjoy it as much, but I still plan on getting it.

Doesn't bother me. I hope it has online though.

kind of saw this coming. it's not that big budget to be open world sadly, because its an exclusive and new ip. if it was multiplat it would probably be open world. still, this could be awesome even as a mission based game.

Yeah the same goes for me too. If it doesn't have online then that will make a lot of people mad. At least it is a launch title.

I thought it was mission based from the beginning. Open world never even crossed my mind. Therefore, I'm still just as excited about ZombiU as I was before.

I think this serves the game better. It allows the devs to control how much pressure they can apply on the player throughout the game, as well as script better the horror effects that happen throughout the game.

If it was open world, it would probably end up as some horrible GTA/Resident Evil clash.

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

My main worry was that it'd be too free roam.
I like a bit of structure to my games, so this is welcomed news to me.

I have to agree with Auzzie on this one.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

I don't know i love games like skyrim, fallout, and minecraft i love freeroam do whatever you want games there fun and they usually have so much to do in them like skyim has over 300 hrs of gameplay in it minecraft has infinite since it randomly generated so i wish it was free roam but i will still buy it because it looks more scary than resident evil and more survival based than resident evil so it still looks like alot of fun

ALthough it is a little disapointing, it isn't a deal breaker. I'll still probably pick the game up at launch.

Be wary, the suck is coming.

Didn't see that coming. I would have though this would have been open world, maybe this will be a better gameplay style for the game.

yea, although open world is my personal preference, it is not for every game type, i hope to see this has a long replay value though, as the problem with most of these mission games is that they are too short and to the point that you dont get to explore anything after the carnage

It looks as if you can take lots of different paths to get to your objective, which is something that linear/mission based should always do to make it have more replay ability. So I feel that this game will have a lot of exploration anyways, despite it not being open world.
