It seems like I keep hearing that the price and tons of other information will be released some time in the early part of September and I am just wondering if there is any date set for some sort of meeting or anything like that coming up in the coming weeks?

There was a pre Tokyo game show Nintendo direct. Also before it Nintendo held the 3DS conference.

Sept 12 2013 Nintendo will announce the launch price of the Wii U. Lol jk we don't know yet but i suspect we will soon.

a neogaf poster once predicted september. the facts that are confirmed officially is that the price and release date and full launch lineup including unannounced games will be revealed. also they have said there are unannounced features of the console, which i assume will be announced along with the rest

there may be a very good chance more will be revealed, through a nintendo direct streaming or a meeting.
in other news, i feel like we need another wiiu info recap to remove confusion, ill get some nice post with everything we know by the 31'st
