Correction: 720p But I think it will be same-y, but harder. Music will just be added instruments, and items won't be too different.
yea im confused with this. Are the launch games in 720P? or whats the deal? Why is this not 1080P? I must have missed it and been living under a rock

I think that Nintendo is trying to get used to the system before activating 1080p. I personally don't care, as I have a 480p TV.

Neither will I, better games to spend money on like Zombi U and PikminFrom what we have seen it is identical to the other ones. That is why I will not be purchasing it at launch.
I was once known here as KillerMario, but since I really like Banjo-Kazooie, I changed my display name to show them my respect

I'd rather have Super Mario Sunshine 2
YES!!!!!!!!!
But anyway, I was thinking about getting it as a launch game, but then I saw more footage and just saw that it's the same as all the others

Anyway I feel like HD for New Super Mario Bros U is a feature. It's really not needed.yea im confused with this. Are the launch games in 720P? or whats the deal? Why is this not 1080P? I must have missed it and been living under a rock
Back on topic: people who say it would be the same are wrong. As you can see, they added a lot of new things plus some features from Super Mario Bros 2 and Super Mario World, often considered as the best Mario sidescrollers. And the jump from DS to Wii in terms of level design is really big. Looks like they're stepping it up again. I was never interested in sidescrollers but I decided to buy New Super Mario Bros Wii and really liked it. Heck, even the level selection screens were fun!

the game does have different music and waaaayyy more features than the previous games, like baby yoshies, miiverse, possibly 4 player online, new power ups etcetc. it will be the best new super mario yet.i guarentee it
Reason #1 to buy this game. And yes, I'm serious. Okay, shared number one reason is the big overworld concept from SMW is returning. Replace Brickblocks with Turnblocks and flagpoles with finish line goals, and they should just call it New Super Mario World! I really think it's gonna be that awesome.
I'm currently playing NSMB2 which is an awesome game, but I think NSMBU is going to be way better. It looks 'newer' and more unique. Definitely my number one reason to get a Wii U.

Actually is not. Yes, you fight against Koopas in a sidescrolling game with boring flapoles at the end. But the leveldesign looks to be so good, even better than the Wii one, and the artstyle took a big step up: it's more painting-ish. And the Miiverse intergration looks reaaaaally neat.
However, I have to admit: this should be the last in the NSMB series. They should do a revamp like NSMB (DS) was. How about just release SMW3?
