I found this amazing article about the Wii U. I don't feel like plagiarizing, so here's the article. http://www.ign.com/a...y-is-a-big-deal

what do you guys think? I agree with IGN.

I'm very stoked for the Miiverse - I just read the article a little while ago. Nintendo may of taken a while, but like the article says..they move at their own pace and good things usually happen.

The only thing that's been bothering me about it - is the whole still having friend codes tied to your console - so if someone buys a used Wii U how would that work? As far as I read they are still using friend codes on the Miiverse

Just as long as it doesn't get super annoying and actually serves purpose, unlike Letterbox.

That thing really annoyed me, and probably one of the reasons I really don't mind having my 3DS kept dead.

I think Friend Codes are given by the network when you first connect. I assume the retailers are at an obligation to restore factory settings when they receive a Wii U from a customer.

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

I think your right, at E3 they talked about how friend codes are still being used, but differently. I'd hope it's not tied in to the system like previous ones - it would bite to have to replace your Wii U due to like a little brother dropping a 2 liter of cola on it or something and not able to restore achievements and all that jazz.

The Miiverse is gonna dominate the gaming/social community... especially using the Wii U, PC, and smartphones.

Amen to that man. 360 users are pigeon-holed into having Windows phones to use the Live features, and PSN doesn't really offer anything. I'm sure next gen they will change that, but Nintendo has got the right idea.

No one most likely...but still... you can have it 300 ft away if you wanted to..the thought of not having to pause in the middle of a game or leave while kicking butt online makes me happy..."Are you almost done in there!?" "Almost...almost..." 45 minutes later... lol

Me, and that means I can take it to my room at night and play in bed, without unplugging the console and taking it up there!!!!

This makes the Wii U much more versatile...if you think about it. Instead of reading boring facebook posts, you can bring your GamePad with you to bed or wherever around the house and use it as solely a social hub when your tired out from gaming. Assuming you can turn the system off with it from that distance of course.
