This mainly applies to all of us old school NES people out there.

Back when the Wii was released we were all pumped about the VC. However, a huge mistake was made on the VC, no multiplayer support!

Imagine being able to play Blades of Steel against anyone you want over the net. Yours truely would be all over it with leagues for all kinds of great old games such as Techmo Bowl, Blades of Steel, Ice Hockey, Double Dribble, the list goes on.

I still predict Nintendo slipping up on this obvious awesome adaptation but man I wish they could do it. Also, it seems there is no advantage whatsoever to trading in our current Wii, especially if we have a large ammount of VC games. Have they gone into specifics as to how to transfer the VC from our Wii to the WiiU yet? I've got at least 20 VC games and some Rock Band Tracks.

What games would you like to play against each other that are already in the VC list? Would you be intrested in a VC tournament/league?

As much as I like the thought of this...I highly doubt we will ever see this. They would pretty much have to retool the entire game to make it possible

Yeah. It'd be awesome for sure, but that might involve the kind of reprogramming that Ninty might not want to put money into... I'd be all over that though.

I don't think it would take that much programming, basically all they need to do is have an interface where one player is the host and the other player simply becomes player two on there screen. Maybe it would be a channel? basically the 2nd player sees everything the 1st player loads up and can control the 2nd player on his VC. I don't think it has to be as complicated as it sounds. But your probably right, it's likely not going to happen.

Also you have to take into consideration that a lot of the games dont belong to nintendo to mess with. So so something like Blades of Steel would need Konami to do it or give approval

I don't think your understanding me, I'm not talking about changing the game at all. What would happen is the 2nd player is just connected to your Wii, that's it, nothing more. No new leaderboards, or menus. You simply connect to your friends WiiU and then play the VC games just as you would if you were with them in their living room. I think if they made it as simple as that it could be done without any issues.
