I went to my Gamestop today and they said every store has stopped taking pre orders for the U right now.
Anybody have an idea on what i should do now?

Umm... I don't think you can. You could call and ask. They may open up for preorders again in store.How would I apply trade in value towards this

Gamestop isn't the only place. Check your local Best Buy if you have one.

Yeah dude. There are other retailers to pre-order from. Gamestop is not the only one.

I would try the Game Stop website. That is probably the best avenue.

How would I apply trade in value towards this
Trade in your stuff at a Gamestop and ask them to put the trade in credit on a Gamestop card. Then use that card online when you purchase during checkout. Do not worry if you don't have enough...it will take the rest off your credit/debit card. It does not take the funds off it until it ships, so do not use that card.
I done this when I pre-ordered my Vita memory card.
