Also, what are some other good reasons to convince her to pre-order asides that they're almost sold out everywhere. And what retailers are still accepting pre-orders?

As far as I know, most retailers have stopped taking pre-orders. You could try walmart, although theirs has a mandatory upgrade which gives you an extra Wii U game of your choice, Wiimote of your color choice, and you can get a Pro Controller for $10 more. Although, I do think GameStop is taking Basic preorders.

So I really, really, really, really x90000000000000000000000000000000 want a Wii U. Problem is, I have never pre-ordered a console before. Due to all the news of Wii U selling out everywhere. I need to get my pre-order in somewhere so I am guaranteed that I'll have a Wii U this Christmas. But, my mom will not let me. She says she doesn't want to pay $700 right now (my bro wants one too). I told her that all you have to pay is $5 minimum. She doesn't believe me that it's around that cheap to pre-order the console. Do you guys know of any sources that it's that cheap to pre-order the Wii U and you can pay it off progressively? By the way, I live in USA.
Also, what are some other good reasons to convince her to pre-order asides that they're almost sold out everywhere. And what retailers are still accepting pre-orders?
Dude, clearly she is getting you one for Christmas and is playing it cool right now. Its a surprise. I don't wanna get your hopes up, but think about it...

Check that link out! You can find a bunch of places with open pre-order the Wii U. If your really dead-set on preordering that black console. I would suggest going into a local Best Buy, Target or Walmart(I'd say a Target would be the best) and ask if you can reserve one on launch day. If worst comes to worse, you may be stuck sitting outside at night time or waking up very earlier
To get your mom to buy you one, explain to her how new consoles are coming out in the coming years and sooner or later your going to want one if you want games and to continue playing with all your friends. Explain to her you will actually use it as well. Remember, this is a Christmas present tell her!

I don't know how it works in america, but over here when you pre-order, they take the money out of your account when the process the order. So when they start picking out your console, that's when they take the money, so if anyone can confirm if that's what happens in america, you could just do that. Usually it's in the launch week that they charge the account.
In America, they take the "down payment" fee upfront at that moment and you can either pay it off little by little until the date of release, or you finish paying it all at once on release day. Down payment is to secure a system for you.
