Anyway, since I'm getting it for Xbox, I think I'd rather have a Wii U follow up to Revelations. <3

I would like this too. Revelations had such a standalone storyline, it didn't really tie into the main story at all. A follow up to the game would be a good chance to bring it into the main story in some way. It's awesome. My cousin already has the game, I have to wait :/

Plus, it has such an open ending. Why did Raymond give Jessica T-Abyss? What's their hidden agenda? Are they working for the same mysterious Organization as Ada and Wesker did? Seems very likely. I'd like a game with them as the main characters, I really like 'em. Bring back the awesome horror elements too, they were better than the action parts.

Yeah that game is really good. The story was a little bland but the ending was great. I would love a game with those two as the main characters. I love Raymond and Jessica. I actually liked the story a lot. I liked Veltro's role: they had an insteresting ideology based on La Divina Comedia, and were being used by TWO organisations. I adored the final chapter where you had to enter the sunken ship. Really creepy, too bad there weren't more enemies.

Yeah the story is good, but how it plays out is rather boring. The classic stories were slow paced too but always kept my attention. I don't hold this story too highly simply because it just feels like filler honestly. You could completely dismiss the events in Revelations and still go on with everything. I wish they would make a follow up to Revelations that way they could try and fit it in really well with the main story.I actually liked the story a lot. And yeah the sunken ship was great. I loved it a lot. Either way it was a great game. And it was pretty tough too.

Same here, on Normal that final boss took me a long time to kill. I've tried to beat the game on Hell before, but gave up soon after. I'm replaying the game now and this time after I beat it I'm going for Hell again. I think I can do it, I just need to dodge better.^Yeah. There's no boss I beat easily, and 3 out of 5 bosses had me killed even on normal mode. I still can't beat the final boss on Hell difficulty. It's sick, I need an RPG.
Special thanks to Horchata. I appreciate it so much.

This I definitely know, from Hard Mode playthroughs on all the classic RE games. I usually go past enemies I don't need to fight and know for sure I can pass without taking damage. It is an invaluable tactic.Dodging Norman is a mother dog, that's why I can't beat him. I just can't dodge the damn dashing attack! By the way, talking about dodging... here's a Hell mode tip for ya already: avoid as many enemy contact as possible! Don't waste your ammo on enemies you can easily (or perhaps less easily..) pass, because you need a LOT of ammo for mandatory enemies/bosses later on, which have become even more powerful.
By the way, if you are going to reply to my posts you should quote them. That way I know that you are talking to me.

Oops, I'm sorry!
The dodging and reserving ammo parts can be really intense. It's really a throwback to the old games, even though there isn't a single RE game that gives you as much ammo as an average shooter like CoD or something. If RE7 will be like this, Capcom will regain a LOT of fans I'm sure.

I think by the time they even get back to doing that they will have already lost all their original fanbase.Oops, I'm sorry!

And yeah even RE5 doesn't give you ammo like other games. I guess that may be one thing that has stood standard.

That, and some parts like the Reaper part felt just traditional enough to be RE-worthy. The walk-controls remained the same too (until RE6..)
I think if they release a big survival horror-game again, there's still time to regain the old fanbase. But they shouldn't wait like 5-10 years or something. For me, personally, it's fine as long as there are at least some horror-ish parts in a game, and if they release a Revelation-esque game (most likely not full, numbered entries) every once in a while.
