I am, because after this gen i heard lots of people complaining about theyr xbox with all that red light stuff and ps3 also dying i dont know why, but at the same time never heard those things about the wii or any nintendo console, is safe to say that nintendo is the best console-builder?

maybe its only because they keep the heat and power consume real low on all theyr consoles which can be the main reason of all the 360 and ps3 issues with that, my wii resisted well, but to be honest i dindt used it to much and with the wii U im going to be total hardcore playing online and offline all the time i can each day, and with all the new online features and that stuff arghh will be a non-stop xD

i just dont want to buy the same console 2 or 3 times in all its lifetime because i dont have too much money right now ;(

i hope nintendo made a robust-high-endurace console : )

I played my Wii a lot this generation and it was fine. A few things here and there but no RROD level problems, stuff you could fix in less than 5 minutes. But yea, It's Nintendo man, I REALLY doubt they're gonna have any of those types of problems

I'm not to worried, according to my Dad (IDK if he's right) but he said that all Nintendo consoles come with life time guaranty's or something like that :/

I never thought of this. ...
After all, it is nintendo. They're hardware is reliable stuff. The only system I've heard stories of breaking is the DSi, probably just because my friends are clumsy. XD

The console will likely be fine Nintendo has a reputation of making very sturdy hardware.

No, and if it does I am confident Nintendo will cover you if there is a widespread issue with the system. Look at the DS Lite and the broken hinge, Nintendo eventually caught on and offered free repairs regardless of warranty, while it took a class action lawsuit for MS to extend the warranties to 3 years for the 360's RRoD problem.

I've had a few issues with nintendo products. Nothing abnormal, but things that have made me send them in to be repaired. My wii was faulty so I sent it in on a Tuesday afternoon, I got a new one by courier on Thursday morning . MIy other experience was with a 3ds and it was just as fast. The main point is, if they can get your system fixed and returned that fast then they must not have much to do. Aka their machines almost never break down & when they do they take care of everything (including the cost of shipping) I'm not worried about the hardware.

The xenon in the 360 was like 5million nanometers and the console's airflow was poorly designed.
The WiiU's chip is 45nm and Nintendo think about heat management in their consoles.

No. Nintendo has always been solid. They aren't Microsoft.. their motto should be release first fix later

At the very least they can fix their shoulder triggers and headphone jacks.

Other than that, they're fine.

Except the Wii.

The Wii is built like a brick. Have you seen the damage they do to TV's?!

WRONG. The disc reader is easy to wipe out if you over use it. <_<

Depends.

Playing games for excessive periods of time will do it, so online games like Monster Hunter Tri and Black Ops. Dual Layered discs also frigged for some.

That disc problem never happened with me and i played a lot of Metroid Trilogy, COD, Monster Hunter (although not as much online) and Zelda for sets of extended periods of time within the same day over a period of weeks and never had a problem, there were some amazon comments about the Metroid Trilogy disc and other dual layered ones giving problem but this never happened to me.
